    Popplet Full up in iTunes!

    So, after a long wait for iTunes approval, Popplet full is now up on iTunes (click on link above). A couple of quick notes about this version:

    1. Multiple Popplet Boards: This is was far and away the most requested feature by our users after they tried out the Lite version. 

    2. Emailing: This version includes an share via email button, which takes a screengrab, which you can email to anyone.

    3. 100 Popple Boxes: In this version you can now have up to 100 image popple boxes, where the Lite version had a limit of 20.

    4. Porting from Lite: Due to security concerns, sadly iPad apps cannot pull data from other apps (even from our own!). We’ve been trying to figure out a workaround, but decided it would be better to get multiple Popplet boards in the hands of everyone, rather than wait on figuring out how to save the one Lite board. We’re still hoping for a fix though and will keep everyone updated on this!

    Lastly, a brief note about the iPad version and the web version. As of now, these two clients are not synced up, but we hope to be able to turn this feature on in an update cycle or two. We want to make sure it’s a smooth experience for everyone. We also know that for those of you that have web beta invites you cannot access popplet.com, due to Flash restrictions. This is why we are working hard to create a native iPad client AND a web client. We’re really excited about the ability to touch and move thoughts, images, information and inspiration around gesturally and are invested in making this fun and useful on both platforms (not to mention some others).

    1. Popplet Community Manager (Part-Time)!

    What We’re Looking For

    We are looking for a self-starter interested in helping build and support a new and growing community of Popplet users. Popplet will be launching both an iPad and a web beta product and will need someone to help manage and liase with all of our new users. We’re looking for someone with strong writing skills, innate knowledge of the social web and a keen attention to detail. This will be a flexible part time position, requiring 2-3 hours of work per day paid at an hourly rate.

     

    Requirements

    • Fluent in social media: Twitter, Facebook, blogging, Get Satisfaction, etc.
    • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.
    • A strong interest in new technology and the latest web trends
    • Ability to deal with an unstructured and fast paced work environment
    • Ability to self-manage projects, a sense of play, an appreciation for design and excellent communication skills

    2. Popplet Intern!

    What We’re Looking For

    We are looking for a self-starter interested in helping build and support a new product, plus a growing community of Popplet users. Popplet will be launching both an iPad and a web beta product and will need someone to contribute to the overall growth of the company. We’re looking for someone with strong knowledge of the social web and a keen attention to detail. Programming and design skills are a plus. This is perfect for someone interested in being exposed to all the stages of an early stage tech start-up. This will be a part-time internship with a flexible schedule around 15-20 hours per week, growing responsibility and the possibility of a full time position in the future. This position will provide a small monthly stipend.

    Requirements

    • BONUS: Familiarity with one or two of the following: PHP, Flash, Ruby, Objective C, HTML, CSS, Javascript
